Balgores Lane

The site situated on a prominent junction was subject to a historic refusal for the demolition of the existing dwelling and construction of 8 apartments, however due to pre-application meetings and careful negotiation with the local planning authority we were able to gain planning approval for 9 units.

The design of the building utilised a saw tooth roof to provide maximum space for the penthouse units and inset roof terraces and it also provides a striking presence on the street scene.

Due to the prominent location on a main roundabout junction, the building is triple aspect so each elevation has to provide architectural interest with the glazed entrances providing a visual break and transparency through the building.
