The project involved the demolition of an existing property and the creation of two new detached dwellings. The site lies between within the gidea park conservation area and the new properties had to be designed to conservation guidelines in keeping with the arts and craft style of the original 1911 exhibition. The site had received earlier refusals for new dwellings and garages by previous agents however through discussion with the Local Authority we were able to produce a proposal that the Planning Department and conservation society was willing to accept.
