• This project involved the refurbishment and extension of an existing 1980’s built detached house.
  
  The brief was to gain additional space whilst enhancing the property with a contemporary addition. An enclosed court yard style garden sits to the rear of the house and the design responds to the Clients request to open this area to the house, by incorporating full width folding glass doors. The client also wanted to experiment with different materials to achieve a sharp and contemporary style, we achieved this by using a clean tile hung finish to reflect the existing house roof, but introducing an alternative wall treatment to the traditional brickwork of the main house. The staggered roof is vaulted with high level glazing to maximise light penetration into the house.
