• The brief was to demolish the existing bungalow on the site and develop the area which is located on the boundary of the Metropolitan Green Belt for residential use to provide family homes.
  
  Access to the site is via an existing private roadway which was adapted in size to accommodate the additional dwellings. The new dwelling have been positioned to continue the building line set by surrounding houses, correcting the nature of the previous bungalow.
  
  This development comprises four individually designed four bedroom detached houses. The mix of style and character reflects the nature of local housing and Essex Vernacular. The materials used are a mix of render, tiling and boarded finishes, with a mix of tile and slate finished roofs to provide a sense of unity with the surrounding dwellings.
