• The project involved the construction of a new first floor to an existing property, the site lies between within the gidea park conservation area and had to be designed to conservation guidelines in keeping with the arts and craft style. The existing roof was removed and a new timber frame first floor, walls and roof was constructed off-site and lifted onto the existing structure by crane in a matter of a few days, the existing chimney was retained and extended in accordance with conservation area guide lines.
