• The existing houses on the site were found to have surplus garden areas which formed the development site. The brief was to develop this site for residential use to provide family homes.
  
  Access to the site is from an adjacent road which enables the new private drive to enter in the middle of the development. This placing of the road allows houses to be positioned either side maximising the land available, but also allowing for future expansion of the development by extending the road into further surplus garden areas beyond should these become available.
  
  This development comprises seven new houses; two detached four bedroom houses and five terraced three bedroom houses. This mix of house size and type reflects the local housing needs and the character of houses found in the surroundings. The materials used are a mix of render and boarded finishes, however all have red brickwork plinths and slate finished roofs to provide a sense of unity between the dwellings, despite have differing overall appearances and layouts, to create a small private community.
